The credential assessment process (CAP) is a service for individuals who have graduated from a non-accredited forestry or allied science post-secondary program(s) at post-secondary institutions in and/or outside of Canada who need to determine if they are qualified to apply for registration as a forest professional in Canada. The process recognizes both prior learning from both academic and work experience and determines if the learning aligns with professional competency standards for the respective profession. This is a gap assessment, not a final determination for registration.
